Day 1 : Phnom Penh - Kampong Cham ( L , D )
8:00 AM pick up from your hotel in Phnom Penh and Hit the village road along the Mekong River toward Kampong Cham. Kampong Cham is Cambodia’s third-largest city, located in the east of Cambodia and known for a laid-back riverside atmosphere and quiet charm. Kampong Cham is the home of Cham ethnic minority who live by the traditional works of rubber tapping, cashew nut plantation, fishing, rice farming, and fruit orchards.
Along the way to Kampong Cham, we will drop by the silk weaving village to explore and snap the memorable shoots. Situated 6 km to the north of Phnom Penh, Koh Dach or Silk Island is where visitors can learn about the whole silk weaving process. On arrival at Kampong Cham, we check-in at the hotel and relax in the city.
Day 2 : Kampong Cham - Kratie ( B , L , D )
Making our way along the Mekong and reaching 1500 year - old holy site of the pre-Angkorian Khmer – Wat Hanchey that was built in 6th century AD. We cross through the hilltop to admire the gorgeous landscapes of the Mekong and the surrounding areas before getting our destination – Kratie. Kratie town is situated on the splendid Mekong River with romantic sceneries of numerous islands on the river. Besides, coming to Kratie, tourists also come across French architectural works still preserved intact mostly. In the evening, you can stroll around Kratie street to enjoy specialties such as freshly baked corn tortillas, dried buffalo meat. Overnight at Kratie.
Day 3: Kratie - Kamthong Thom ( B , L , D )
Kick off the 6th day of the tour by riding toward Kampi to eye-witness the Freshwater Mekong Dolphin - Irrawaddy Dolphin, which are protecting by various organizations from being extinct. We will be traveling in a wooden boat captained by former fishermen in the community, where they are asked to stop their net-fishing method that can harm the dolphins. Keep running on wheels along Mekong River toward Kampong Thom. You can admire the endlessly green of rubber, cassava and other seasonal plantations on both sides.
Located on the bank of Mekong River, Kampong Thom offers tourists with the largest historic sites not to be missed: Prasat Kuh Nokor Temple, Prasat Kok Rokar Temple, Prasat Phum Prasat Temple. After check-in in the hotel, we freshen up by strolling around the peace and tranquility of those temples. Spend overnight in Kampong Thom.
Day 4: Kamthong Thom - Ta Seng ( B , L, D )
Run through flat countryside roads, stop for a visit to UNESCO World Heritage site of Sambor Prei Kuh - an ancient city with Sambor Prei Kuh monuments was identified as Isanapura, the capital of Chenla in 7th century. This is a giant temple complex with its enclosure cover an area of 5 million square meters. Continue to the road to Ta Seng - a thousand-year-old village where one of the last kings of Angkor constructed the biggest religious complex of the era in Preah Khan Kampong Svay. Tonight we will have a sleep in the village homestay and enjoy Ta Sheng’s peace.
Day 5 : Ta Seng - Siem Reap ( B , L)
Traveling on the path of the ancient road connecting 2 ancient cities of Isanapura to Angkor, our destination today in Siem Reap. Located in northwestern Cambodia, Siem Reap is the city attracting the most tourists in Cambodia thanks to the majestic Angkor temples. Once it was the capital of the ancient Khmer empire, the modern capital of Siem Reap today is still wearing the mystical and ancient features of the most glorious civilization.
One of the most prominent places that you shouldn’t skip is the night market where you can taste various indigenous dishes at an affordable price. Overnight in this stunning city is surely a worthy experience. Arrival your own hotel for check in. End The Tour .
